We partner with the Athens County Humane Society
We often have ACHS cats in our cat condo at the shop who are available for adoption.
We do not currently have a Friendly Paws adoption program.
If you are interested in fostering please email us at friendlypawspets@gmail.com.
FOUND PETS
Athens does not have a cat shelter. Our humane society employs 1.5 staff members to assist the entire county. Please remember they are very busy and may not be able to assist as quickly as you would like with found or stray cats. Be patient and visit our resources page to help you find homes on your own. If you have found a cat or dog, please list them on the ACHS Lost/Found Facebook page and contact the Athens County Dog Shelter for found dogs and to adopt.
Nevan was left behind in an apartment when her guardian moved away. She is around 3 years old, very cuddly and is interested in dogs who are calm around her. She also lived with another cat, likely her sister, so we believe she will be fine with other cats as well with proper introductions. She wanders around the shop confidently and goes back to her condo to sleep. This gal is a dream.
Adoption fee is $100 each to the Athens County Humane Society. Typically, each pet they intake costs an average of $350 to get ready for adoption, therefore additional donations are always welcome if you are able.
We are open 10-7pm weekdays and
10-5pm Saturdays
Come visit them!
